Scènes vues autrefois (2024), for Large Orchestra

“Scènes vues autrefois” (Scenes seen before) explores a fascination with déjà vu. Shifts in color, mood and expression navigate the distant, but connected fields of intimacy and humour, darkness as well as light. Like the capricious nature of déjà vu itself, scenes unfold and references emerge only to disappear again in the haze of recollection, inviting the listener into a world of familiar unfamiliarity.
